About de Volksbank

De Volksbank is the parent company of SNS, ASN Bank, RegioBank and BLG Wonen. Being a bank with well over 3 million customers, we want to stand out by making a social impact on lives across the Netherlands. Banking is about more than just money. It’s a way of being of value. Not only for our own organisation and employees, our customers or shareholder, but for society as a whole; across the country, all year round. Together, we invest in a better Netherlands.

‘Better for each other’ is our promise to people in the Netherlands. This is what we stand for together with our four bank brands and how we stand out in the banking sector. We deliver on this promise by banking with a human touch and by being of value to customers, employees, the shareholder and society in our business operations. In other words, ‘for each other’.

Our goal for 2025 is to be the bank with the strongest customer relationship and the largest proven social impact in the Netherlands; together with our four brands, i.e. SNS (1,620,000 customers), ASN Bank (786,000 customers), RegioBank (689,000 customers) and BLG Wonen (238,00 customers). By growing where possible. By investing and simplifying where necessary. Our brands are strengthening their social impact, their value to each other and to de Volksbank as a whole by sharing their successes.

De Volksbank has over 3,000 FTEs and is headquartered in Utrecht, adjacent to Utrecht Central Station. In addition to having offices in The Hague, Den Bosch, Groningen and Geleen, we have some 205 SNS shops and 477 RegioBank branch offices across the country.

That’s right, society as a whole. Because - especially as a bank - we can play a prominent role; with the help of all our employees, our four bank brands, customers and everyone else involved that is.

Making impact. We have been doing so since our establishment as regional savings banks more than 200 years ago. By taking good care of Dutch people’s money. This social origin in particular - being rooted in local communities - is our strength. Just like our commitment to and connectivity with society, and with each other. Nowadays, we focus on payments, savings and mortgages for retail customers, entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises.
